Opening 2012 – Mother Mary's Garden Retreat and Welcome Center

Located in the fabled and mystical San Luis Valley, the town of San Luis—the oldest town in the state of Colorado, was recently designated as part of a National Historic Landmark by the United States Landmark Registry. At 211 Main Street in San Luis stands a historic pueblo-built structure which will soon serve as Casa de Santa Maria's Conference and Visitor's Center, scheduled for opening in the spring of 2012.

The following video offers you a sneak peak inside as the Casa's Conference and Visitor's Center undergoes renovations in preparation for the grand opening. (The video will be updated as progress evolves.)

As they have in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Sedona, Arizona over the past 18 years, creators and directors of Casa de Santa Maria, Susan and Milt Sanderford, now residents of San Luis, will facilitate a variety of spiritial retreats, meetings and conferences ranging from one day spiritual mentoring events to week-long Freeing-Your-Spirit and Intuitive Spirit retreats. There are also plans to feature well known guest speakers covering a variety of soul-growth offerings.

The longer retreats will offer guided side visits to major local attractions, including the magnificent Stations of the Cross shrine, featuring sculptures by world renowned native son artist Humberto Maestas—the Mission San Acacio, inspiring oldest church in Colorado founded in 1856—and the nearby frontier fort at Fort Garland, where infamous Indian Scout Kit Carson once served.

Every stone, every flower indeed, every addition to Mother Mary's Garden to date is the result of private donations from the many Casa de Santa Maria and Mother Mary's' Garden supporters from around the world.

To bring the Casa Conference and Visitor's Center to life, a call went out to raise the $12,000 to cover the first year's rental, and ancilary operating expenses for the entire year 2012. The goal was reached within the first five days.

The following video is your first peek at the building before we acquired possession, and also shows the work now underway in preparing the Center for the gand opening in the spring of 2012..
